I lives in Leeman for 3 years and only ever did flat water windsurfing.
Can't say I heard of any places to wave sail, not even from the locals.

So the road opened at 3pm last Sunday. At 4pm the first of the tour buses arrived at the shacks and from all reports there is a steady stream going through the last couple of days. Apparently a bus arrived this morning with the touros wanting to know where the cafe and toilets were. Guess what people theres no dunnies and sure as hell no coffee. I was on the road this morning and the tourist traffic is full on, all going past the new black top into the shacks.
The locals have already reported an increase in break ins and people snooping around.
We all have opinions on the whole debate regarding the area but what do you all have to say, I'd be interested to hear...

For those who know....

if the locals at wedge reckon there is an increase in break ins AND people SNOOPING AROUND i will put an offer in on their shack

Im pissed off , dissapointed and feel a little ripped off.

It was a big mistake putting that road through. It wont be long now till there is rubbish everywhere , probably graffiti all over the shacks, the beach will be totally churned up by kooks who dont have a clue about driving on sand and to top it off there will probably be a new bunch of poo stanced clowns who have been there twice who now think they own the place . Yeah you know the ones- the ones who have a whole beach to surf but decide to come and sit right on top of you on the bank you chose.

Im just greatfull for the memories that I have. Its a real shame my kids wont be able to have the same experience that I had there.

Oh and you know what else I think - your a bloody idiot for posting that pic!!!

God the WA government is a ****ing joke....they won't be happy until there is a gas plant a road or a big ****ing whole in the ground...still you have to thank someone for your rediculously overpriced housing and the fact that every **** and his dog owns a boat and 4x4

Pay attention... There are no waves between Lancelin and Geraldton.
Repeat the mantra and learn it well.
BTW. I think there is a point at Jurien, but maybe not a break

A record 36 competitors entered the WINDSHACK Green Head Wavesailing classic on the Australia day weekend. The event was proudly organised by Windsurfing WA. The forecast was good and the conditions turned it on with a 2m swell and about 18 knot wind strength .....
