I remember seeing all those Berocca ads on TV when I was a teenager. They depicted middle age executive office types drinking a glass of the orange fizzy stuff to combat their stress and make it through the day.

Interesting to now see the latest promotions feature a guy in his mid-20's in an office environment trying to tackle a mountain of work with the assistance of the magical elixir.

From what I see in my office, it seems the latest bout of advertising has been effective, as a large percentage of the junior engineers in my office have a tube of Berocca on their desk.

Judging by the colour that the stuff turns your urine, I'd say their literally pi$$ing their money up against the wall, as it goes in one end and mostly out the other.

Anyone reckon they can notice the effects of a vitamin 'B' supplement?

Alcohol leaches vitamin B from the body. Low levels of vitamin b can cause all sorts of problems.

The B-complex vitamins are especially vulnerable and destroyed by alcohol. These vitamins are essential to mental and emotional well being.
?Vitamin B1 (thiamin)- deficiencies trigger depression and irritability
and can cause neurological and cardiac disorders among alcoholics.
?Vitamin B2 (riboflavin)- In 1982 an article published in the British Journal of Psychiatry reported that every one of 172 successive patients admitted to a British psychiatric hospital for treatment for depression was deficient in B2.
?Vitamin B3 (niacin)- depletion causes anxiety, depression, apprehension and fatigue.

I've never used it, but I worked with a guy that used to go out and drink a lot often, and he swore by it.

Ever since then, every time I see the ad I think 'ah another person that had a bit much the night before'. I think that's really who its marketed at, not just everybody that needs another vitamin.

Bowl of weetbix and a couple of crumpets with vegemite or promite is the easy alternative to overpriced b12 vitamin supplements.

You are.... Nothing but expensive urine
If you have reason to believe you are deficient in any vitamins, see a doctor as you may have a genuine disorder.
Very few people in western countries are deficient though... Very few

Kind of ironic that they make vegemite from beer brewing dregs.

I'd be more worried about Harrow standing at the urinal checking out the colour of his co-workers pee.
