Good evening Breezers
Im looking for some advice on what sort of train set I can get my 60 year old father. He is currently quite sick and spends most days either in bed or at home on the couch and doesn't have much energy for anything.
He has always said he would like a train set and as there is now a spare room in the house as I have moved out I'm looking to get him started. I understand this is more a water sports forum and not really the best place to ask but if it wasn't for him taking me surfing and fishing from an early age I wouldn't be on sea breeze or enjoying the sea breeze.
Any links to other forums or rough ideas or photos of your own setups would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks in advance !![]()
Great idea,my father was into the whole train modelling bizo and it kept him amused for ever.
Best off pop down to the local model shop ( preferably train shop ) and ask them for advise.
I know my dad would spend inxs of $300 on a single locomotive, so it can get expensive.
Cheers Billy
You might be best to post this in the windsurfing section. More crew there in that age bracket that may be able to help.![]()
probably totally useless feedback, but I recently (in the last few years) saw a miniature steam powered train, dont know if it used electricity or spirits to create the steam, but it was awesome, so spend some time looking, there are some great things out there.
oh, and I thoroughly enjoy the little wooden Thomas and Friends toys, my 1 year old will be getting more in the future.... can easily fill the time between coffee being too hot and just right![]()
