Disfigurement is fashionable. Its extreme punk. The kids are perforating their bods in all kinds of places and decorating the holes with fishing tackle. They have indelible (ie indelible without laser surgery) drawings of indifferent quality scribbled into their very skin. They look like crap and they are there for life.

What's going on? Has there been another shift in the cosmic gestalt? Why do sane people deliberately disfigure themselves? Is it deliberate? Maybe they dont know what they are doing. Maybe their aesthetic judgement is u/s. Maybe they feel such a compulsion to conform that they will do anything. After all Tommy Lee scores so what does it matter? What will they do when the fashion changes as it inevitably will? Does Tommy Lee still feel outrageously out there or has fashion reeled him in - just another tattooed dork in the crowd.

So many questions ...
People are strange.

tatts are pushed by NWO to get us use to accecpting the ''implantable microchip''.

once the public get used to receiving graffiti[tatts] on there arms/body, we are then a step closer to accepting the mark of the beast.[implantable/chip]

they push tatts in the music industry that they control, as a fashion thing. the sheep/public soon follow.

listened to countless interviews of Alan Watt on y/tube, he tells us whats coming so beautifully, with the evidence to back it up.

Tatts have been around for hundreds, maybe thousands of years, as the population increases so do the tatts, although I do agree it does seem to be a bit "trendy" over the last 10-15 years,
Just remember, people with tatts don't judge you because you don't have any.

more than a bit ''trendy'' i'd say.

every second popstar now seems to have one.

every fourth footballer in english premier league has one.

even the women are now getting ''done''.

People who get tatts don't realise the implications that come with them. If they did they would not get them.

I try not to prejudge people but when I see tatts on people I do not actively seek their company. If you want to call that bigotry, so be it.

That's a bit stiff Cisco! If I took that attitude I would have to avoid my kids. That said I have never seen the point myself and have to have a chuckle when you see the designs turned to blotches by age or the simply ridiculous lack of thought that goes into some of the creations.

There's a chick in Newcastle looks like a doodle pad!

Are they poison? God forbid that they are Danish backbacers with tatts! Now they are bad people.

I have one tatt and proud of it, its not massive but its one that I had wanted for a long time.

if those are the implications (that i will never meet bigoted xenophobes), then i'm more glad than ever to have tattoos.

i just hope you don't pass on gems of social wisdom like this to your kids.

personaly I couldnt give a rats ... if you have tatts or not , its the way the person acts, behaves , treats others ,thats more important,
judging people on looks , skin coulour , dress sense ,etc etc is not cool

Being an old fart, always wanted one, have seen some great designs.

Some time ago I became a blood donor, and not wanting to stuff things up, I decided no tatts, as you have to wait 12 months after each new tatt, before you can resume donating blood.

Hey all I said was that I don't think having tattoos on yourself is a good idea and that I don't actively seek the company of tattooed people.

I have several friends with tatoos who are very dear to me. Most of them regret having them done.

Laser surgeons are making a fortune from 30 something year old women who want tatts removed and there are many employers who would not consider hiring people with tattoos, though they won't come out and say that for fear of being sued for discrimination.

I couldn't give a rats if somebody has tatoos and I take them at face value as decent people until they prove otherwise. I do resent having offensive tatoos virtually shoved in my face.

Somebody started a discussion about tatoos and I am participating in it. Is that OK or do I have to excuse myself for breathing??

Sounds to me like some people here would like go back to the "good old days" of tarring and feathering.

I'd just like to add this, so all your tattoo haters can have a smug laugh.

Last year i met a friend of a friend. doesnt matter who he is, but the story of his tattoo.

This whipped idiot, recently turned 16, and was going on his 1yr anniversary with his girlfriend britney jane. So he went and got a tattoo on his left peck, a love heart with Britney Janes initials in it.
They broke up around october i think. And now hes gotta tattoo saying he loves to... well you can figure the rest out without me writing rude words haha.

True story, i could even get you a photo of it if you done believe me lol.

Hey petermac, didn't you say once that you didn't listen to "experts", that you made up your own mind? So how come you rabbit on about anything that this Watt guy comes out with? Does that mean he's not an expert? (not expert - hmm... means he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about doesn't it?)

Narrow minded.

Funny thing about tats- you get them then forget about them. Other people pay more attention than you do.

You do have to think about the implications career wise, though it is increasingly being seen as the norm.

Personally they suit some people but not others. It's their body and they can do what they please with it.

God made the human body as beautiful as it could ever be (ie in his own image).

Decorating it could be seen as honoring his good work or as an egotistical vanity.

What you tink?
