Hey all,

Looking for some ideas for a holiday that has good surf as well as good kiting (both flat water and waves).

Looking to go in the second half of the year, later the better. Maybe a pacific island

Any ideas guys!!!

Cocos Islands!

No wave kiting here, but we had a steady 17-22knots all day everyday with the local wave about 10min bike ride from town. Wave breaking almost everyday, mild currant across the reef which wasnt a problem unless it was huge. Superb falt water location for kiting on the inside lagoon!

Flights are a bit exy, defs good value if you can use your frequent flyers!

Hawaii.

The islands are so great. I was there last week for a couple of weeks and plenty of surf of varying size on Oahu that isnt on the north shore and theres a kite beach thats fairly popular.

9hours from sydney, fairly cheap flights i believe(?) heaps to see and do.

I'd say Tassie.

Just got back from Coles Bay - Freycinet National Park - absolutely bloody beautiful. A watersports haven. My son described it as a cold Hawaii, which is not far off the mark. White sands, turquoise water, largish mountains, plenty of untamed wilderness, delicious food, great surfing, fishing.

This time of year the weather is perfect and you can even catch the ferry as we did with the car and bring all your own stuff.

There's a guy who hops on the SUP forum sometimes, Kyron, who posts some beautiful vids of his times in Tassie.

Here we go - enjoy.

New Caledonia from what I have heard will give you plenty of both.
