Hi all,

I'm currently working away from home, staying in Mandurah. Was looking to do a bit of recreational spearing along the coast. Was wondering if anyone knew a few good spots with decent visibility?

Cheers for any replies!

you gotta wait for swell to drop below a metre and a couple of days of easterlies, then it gets pretty clear with some great shallow sand / reef / cave free dives offering really good fish species. fine tune the stalking in shallow water (1ft through to 20 ft roughly) and you can do very well without the hassle of a boat.
venture out as far as you dare but keep in mind the deadheads on jet skis and boats that dont keep an eye out are the biggest threat. as for the white big things, i wouldnt worry much about them. its more the bull sharks ive seen that i worry about. well over 3 metres but all have been mellow so far.
