Help needed please.

I want to get 4 wavesails over to the UK to give to my brother, however when I fly there next I will have my own gear with me (no baggage allowance left).

So, do I suck up excess baggage or is there a cheap freight option I could look at using?

Any ideas gratefully received!

maybe read your baggage allowance carefully. a lot of airlines, in addition to your normal bags, allow a bike, golf clubs or surfboard as part of your allowance. You can get kiteboarding bags with golf written all over them for this purpose. if surfboard you could put sails in a surfboard bag, or disguise as a bike (wavesails fairly short, get a bike bag and use cardboard where the wheels go). or ecxess baggage goes on weight so sails might be light? (have heard to let your board hang over edge as they weigh and support weight cunningly with foot) or take less closthes and wear your bro's

Good idea - I could pack them up as a surfboard and give that to the missus, I can then take my stuff as a "windsurfer"...

Roll all your sails up in one bag.
Check you board in as a surfboard
Some airlines don't take windsurfers cos they think we still ride 27m long boards and have 1 piece masts.
Masts can easily be disguised as fishing rods too ;)
