I didn't really get the swipe at the environmental movement. Surely one of the great triumphs of environmentalism is getting people to think about the environment seriously. If there was no public support out there for the environment Saul could crap on all he likes but people would just keep digging up the black stuff and burning it.
And the pro nuclear plug ....ok fine talk about nuclear, but can't people get past the idea that there is more than just rationality to the nuclear argument. And then there's the cost. Nuclear is one of the most expensive ways to make electricity and guess what, the carbon tax will make all forms of "alternative" energy more affordable as opposed to oil and coal. So what's his beef
It's fine for Saul to think about all the lovely ways to make the future "awesome" but for me he should acknowledge the heavy lifting done over 30 or 40 years done by the likes of Sanders,Dr.brown, truchanas, dombrovskis and the like.
Saul griffith is standing on the shoulders of giants..... and he should acknowledge that.
