I currently have Thule Wing-bars on my roof on the landcrusier, but am now going to have a hilux that i will use for transporting the boards, thing is the Thule system for the hilux I don't like as it is just a getter mount that is clamped onto the pillar, so im looking at the rhino rack vortex system with the RLT600 mounting set up as it's support system physically bolts to the roof on a track, so way more solid and reliable in my opinion.
My question is, to save money hopefully i was wondering if the actual Thule wing-bar will fit onto the Rhino rack mounts, if it does i wont have to buy the rhino rack bars, just the mounting system only which will save me some coin. does anyone know if this is possible, no one from the TJM and ARB stores have been able to tell me.

Im not sure. But I have a gutter mount for the Rhino racks on my ute's canopy with the track mounts installed additionally (not a cheep setup) and it works a treat. Personally I would be worried about mixing the sets up to save on dollars, I would hate to hear the ripping sound as racks and board let go 
When the funds permit I will be looking at installing the same system to the ute's roof as well.
That makes things clearer. It is at least 5 years since I looked, but when I did the two had very different tracks and therefore not immediately compatible. Nothing a basic workshop couldnt adapt, but not suitable considering your scenario of fly in, set up, drive away. As I said, that was a few years ago.
All good, found someone who advised it is possible with a little adaptation but not recommended, so I coughed up the dough and have a shop pre fitting it all for me so when I fly in ill be right to go all proper.
