All right rock nerds...
Friday Arvo / night in our house is YouTube through the stereo night ....mums off at yoga and dinner with the girls and we - 9 yr old daughter and 8 yr old son - work, cook and hang in unfettered bliss....

We each get two songs at a time and NOTHING is off limits musically - the nine yr old is permitted Bieber just as Dads more noise stuff.

Tonight after I did The Drones and Pollyanna back to back the boy remarked at female bass players

( the smithereens - behind the wall of sleep - " she stood just like bill wyman now I am her biggest fan")

We started to list the ones we know - now We throw open to 'breezers rock nerds

Gold medal went to the 9yr old for screaming "Dirty boots" despite not knowing the individual/ artist. It was a hell of a get considering its not high rotation here....

So here goes and outing myself as a 90's tragic

The Drones - Fiona - we are so lucky awesome band
Screamfeeder -
Pollyanna - rayke?
Sonic youth - Kim
Knievel -
Superchunk

now it's over to the collective brains trust....

Breeders cannonball sexy bass line will be next Fridays starter followed by some talking heads

Don't know why I never got the 'bait - I remember seeing a shesahaguava era gig and thought they were ordinary and i never progressed from that point despite everyone telling me I was missin something

Was just about to say that Jay.
Gigantic has to be one of my favourite Pixies tunes too, even if it is about a big dick.

Problem with hawt female bassplayers is they end up with one flat bewb. Seriously - from the gtr strap.

Thinking of local act Snowman.. average band but they had Olga the nerdette bass slinging hawty.

Sat next to Kim Gordon once. Backstage on steps watch Beck at Summersault concert. Was a bit crowded and didn't realise who it was in half darkness till I had manoeuvred both cheeks onto step and she had forfeited her comfy spot.
