Seriously though Cisco, were you counting for LNP or the "Kat in the hat". And how much of that vote do you reckon is Federal
If you are betting on a horse race, you bet on the horse you think is going to win so for me it was LNP. However I strongly agree with the issues Katter's Australia Party was campaigning on and I met and made friends with their Bundaberg candidate who was manning the same polling booth as I yesterday.
The two electorates here, Bundaberg (about the city boundaries with 50,000 people) and Burnett (about a 100 klm radius and 50,000 people) had two very good LNP candidates one of whom was incumbent.
The electorates are not large in numbers, the main industries are rural and there is a fairly high welfare component in both.
So to answer your question:-And how much of that vote do you reckon is Federal
I think a fair bit considering our sitting federal member is Paul Neville LNP who won by a convincing margin at the last federal elections.
I was thinking of starting a new thread called "Cisco's Sunday Political Comment Corner". Do you think that would be a good idea???
