Ahh yes perpetual motion, if only we weren't all too stupid to realise it's possible. Please build one and report back.

What about if we drove around on rainbows in cars powered by unicorn farts.

Perpetual motion. Its not being used because those greedy coal energy companies prefer to sell electricity that costs them a lot to produce rather than producing energy for free and selling to us high.

Its just those greedy companies trying to produce lower profits. Or is it Year 6 physics?

You really can't be bothered to consider basic safety science, can you?
Rainbows are an ultra low friction surface, which means that they are hard to get traction on. This presents 2 problems. Wheelspin on acceleration comes first. It is almost impossible to avoid fishtailing. At the other end of your trip, you have almost no braking capacity, so you may well find yourself crashing hard into the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Combustion of unicorn farts is a little studied area, but why would you want to burn pure perfume?

Guess what TA, you really can get power out of rainbows

What it boils down to is that the researchers have developed a way to capture the static that builds up on drops of water as they bump into each other. Bottled lightning in effect.
