And NO I'm not an overprotective Mum. I learnt a long time ago that things will always go wrong, and accidents will happen (often- LIKE on a weekly basis). I've tried to be there to pick up the pieces, to listen and to be non interfering and non judgemental.
Sounds great. Want to trade Mum spots haha!?
jk

My kids aren't talking to me cos I ran away from home

I was doing a mental run through of the accidents and incidents and trust me you wouldn't believe it - one of my beautiful boys in a typical year
1. Hit a kangaroo
2. Riding home from the nightclub in bali in the rain, put on his sunnies, couldnt see cos it was dark (this is his story) came off, skun (is there such a word) his leg
3. Week 2 in bali, truck turned in front of him, hit the side of the truck with his body leaving the motorbike, dented the truck, had to pay for it
4. Got his foot run over by a taxi (dont ask)
5. Hurt his back using a jackhammer at work (????He's a carpenter)
6. Got hit by a truck in his car, got whiplash
7. Got picked up for drink driving
8. Spun out and knocked out an olive tree (we had to remove the car quick smart cos the olive farmer was not happy about his tree)
9. His dog killed the prize ducks and chickens next door
10. His dog killed the ducks and chickens on the other side
and thats just one of the three young adults.
Ya just can't protect them against LIFE!!!
Wanna meet my son??? He is really cute ...but very DANGEROUS to be with. Maybe that's why some Mums are protective......?
