Gotta love those Ozi sk8s!
My ownership went like this:
Surfer sam in 78'/79'? (long model)
2nd hand fibreglass board with rock like wheels and yankee flag colours 81'

2x cheapo Kmart plastic boards with hell wide small plastic wheels 84'
Re-hashed the Surfer sam after the placky boards fell apart 84'
2nd hand Ozi skate 85' (Flatish model)
2nd hand Ozi Concave late 85'. Loved that board - it used to take big boosts and acid drops in it's stride and super wide trucks. Busted it clean in half after one too many fire hydrant boosts in Camberwell..

Back to the Surfer sam on downhill slalom runs just cause it was so kn horrible it made for fun (and mega bitumen burns)
Cleanskin (no-namo) really nice shaped deck from Qld. Nice shape but weak as fk - lasted me less than an hour before snapping and returning to Surf, ski n skate (Melb) for a refund and then..
Gotcha Facelifts- late 86'. Rode that board for 2 1/2 years before getting seduced by a driver's licence (in Perth by that stage) and sick of having to do a runner every time a bunch of numbnutz boguns felt like some fun in Kenwick.. Got heaps more mileage out of the board in my mid 20s using it for transport cause I was too broke for fuel (fuel was devoted to searching for waves in my old 3-on-da-tree XY Falcon). Also heaps of sk8ee usage working at the Leederville Hotel. Had a 60% dowhill run to and from work to home a km away. Sure was fun cruisin home and riding steep driveways like wave faces as the sun was starting to come up.

Thought I was a bit dodgy riding a sk8ee pissed (erm.. and the rest) until I was skating home one morning - after 6am staffies at the Hippy Club - and saw a pissed bloke riding on the lines (sort of) up the middle of Oxford St on a pushy - no hands, both devoted to eating a kebab!!! Now that is style..
