My first time voting. I've been putting it off for over 20 years, even though I watch the polling carefully, and usually embrace the results. Perhaps I was slightly embittered about the winner in '93.

So who are you voting for in this years JJJ Hottest 100...? 
Surely the biggest upset was 1998 when the offspring won for "pretty fly for a white guy", beating out the living end and powderfinger... that was disgraceful....
By far best year was 1998, all great stuff in top 6 or 7 unlike most years where some weird bongo drums hippie crap sneaks in
Probably my favourite day of the year. I'll never forget when knights of cydonia won and I was like "I've never heard this song" WTF?

When the rule that songs released in that year were the only ones eligible for that top 100 I gave up on it. It would have to be an amazing year for 100 great songs to be released in it, ie songs we will be listening to and enjoying in 20 years time.

You realise u can only vote for 10. I'd say 90% of ppl who vote struggle to narrow it down to 10.
Each year seems to produce more and more great music.
