Well - utter rubbish, media peddled lies of a level probably not seen of before.
SBS began broadcasting in April 1979, although intermintantly for a few years.
Assuming best case scenario for SBS of 24 hour television continuous from 1st April 1979 with no repeats, ever
then 6 billion equates to 6.05 stories per second.
I have watched SBS, they do not average more than 6 new and original stories per second.
Thus 'six billion stories' is just media peddled lies, probably put out by the Fox network and supported by floridation of the water and vaccinations against intelligence.
I think what that means is that everyone has a story to tell and there are about six billion people alive. The back drop is of ordinary people and people in difficult situations such as behind iron bars.
So its not just celebrities and famous people whose lives are important and interesting.
Thats how I see it. I don't see it as SBS counting its library and saying "we have six billion stories on file".
