It starts at home. One of the family uses a plate, bowl, cup or utensil and then just leaves it on the side of the sink without rinsing it which allows the residue of food to dry out and harden thereby making it require twice as much effort to remove.

My teenage son is an expert at that one.

Then you have the late night revelers who leave the pub to walk home via Mc Donalds and just toss the packaging into the street.

The backpackers and welfare people are really bad. They go to the shopping centre, load up a trolley, walk it home and then just dump it in the gutter but never in front of the place they live. I really hate those feckers.

It is not a physical laziness. It is mental.

It is said that the hardest work in the world is thinking and that is the reason why so few people think before acting.

I'm with you.

What we need to do is get a whole lot of active people to round up the lazy people. We should hang all the lazy men first. Shoot the women and their lazy children. There will be lots of active peeps around willing to dig all the graves.

It would set clear guidelines of what we are and not allowed to do in Ciscoworld.

Anyway... who cares. Here's a great Youtube clip:

How about this solution....

We get all the lazy people free flights to Townsville, then we build a bridge to Magnetic island, transfer all the lazy people over there and blow up the bridge. Stop all boat traffic, set up remote cannons so no one can leave/enter and leave them to their own devices.

Oh hang on, that's similar to new zeeeeland cuz. Sweet as.

Worst of all? The pigs who go through the McD's or Hungry Jack's drivethru, then drive to a beachside car park to eat, then throw the trash out the door/window. Feck right off.

Presumably they are going to the beach because they like the view, but then decide it would be enhanced by some burger wrappers.

If you're obese and don't want your wife/husband to know about your burger habit, you don't have to use your own bin, there are plenty of others out there.

Those people amaze me. Often it seems to be 2 or 3 people, and between them they could probably carry all the bags. I seem to be able to make it from the supermarket to my home carrying them without a trolley, so it can't be that hard.

I also hate those people that leave the shopping trolley next to their car, and end up blocking someone from parking there. I said something to someone about it once and the reply was 'this is the first time I ever did that'... uh huh... sure.

I think people really do learn these things from their parents. Similar to those idiots that think pedestrian crossings are magic and that they can just walk across before stopping or looking.

Catering to them? How? Mandatory imprisonment if you get caught stealing a shopping trolley?

[sarcastica] fk those fkn pedestrians. Probably going to a fkn tree huggin convention. [/sarcastica].

And... Actually they can. It's the law. They're vulnerable. Those nuisance zebras are there to give folk on foot a chance against bozos in big cars...

And then there's my personal pet peeve, cigarette butts, on the beach no less. Here in the US it's not too common for someone to just purposely throw trash on the ground at least they won't do it if someone might be watching but people have no problem throwing ciggy butts, it's as if hey actually believe they are biodegradable and where one idiot litters a butt all the other idiots think it's OK to add to it at that spot, WTF is this? The reason I hate smokers is not because I am forced to breathe their smoke or smell their awful breath but because I have to look at their litter.

+1

folks at the beach fear me for that, when I see someone throwing their cigarette butt, I walk up to them, first ask them politely to pick it up and dispose of it in a bin, and if they start arguing "there are already plenty on the ground... everybody does it..." I just go ape **** and start yelling til they are so embarrassed they pick it up and take off.

I once picked one just thrown from the window of a parked car and threw it back inside the car (still lit :-) ) best moment of the day....

It helps being a big bloke though....

No, they are still idiots. I feel that I was lucky in being taught never to cross a road without making sure that the car has actually seen you and is going to stop, before I cross the road.

The idiots I am referring to are the idiots that know they have right of way, whether on the pedestrian crossing or not, and risk their life by walking out without looking or checking. As they say, its no use being in the right if you are dead.

If you are one of these people that don't look or check, and teach your children by example, I hope you never come across a driver that is distracted and doesn't see them. The pedestrian will be in the right of course, but it is still stupid. Its even worse now when you have drivers that seem too easily distracted now by their phone.

Years ago I was driving towards a zebra crossing in a pretty quiet place in that it was near a school, but on weekends was a very quiet street. An idiot kid decided to ride his bike down the footpath, turn right and go straight across the crossing. I am sure if I hadn't anticipated it and slowed down 'just in case' I would have hit him, and I just wish someone had explained to him how dumb his action was.

Again, I am sure he would have been 'in the right' (well kind of sort of), but in reality, what he did was DUMB! Please don't teach your children to behave like that.

Yeh, cigarette butts for me too.

I was parked behind a car waiting at a railway crossing in the middle of summer and the driver flicked a lit but out onto the road.

I got out and picked it up and threw it through his window onto the back seat.
Unfortunately it didn't burn to the ground.

Best one I have seen was a cab driver flicking his ciggie out his window - straight into the police car that was next to him.

I don't think he will ever do that again, I reckon the cabbie could poo in stereo after the sarge finished with him.

With out a doubt the worst offenders are SOME fishermen....the crap they leave on our coastline is disgraceful.
They go to all the effort of getting there gear ready, going to bait shop, sometimes walking miles to fishing spot then are too fracking lazy to put the empty plastic bags in a bin or away for later disposal.
