Im down the Gong this week, does anyone know a good spot down here in Westerlies??

Macedonia Park off the motorway has open areas and not too many trees. Its a good place to fly a kite.

Sorry Mobydisk I meant Kite surfing, on the Lake maybe??

Just trolling, sorry. I'd imagine the lake would be good. However there will be a lot of windsurfers at Primbee so you need to take that into account plus the lake is huge.

Primbee in a westerly, launching is very tight. Launch with a buddy or teather to the fence.

Why do you have to launch at Primbee? When I sailed on the lake in a westerly I often launched a bit up from the yacht club off Northcliffe drive. There is a little public park jutting out into the lake with a small bay behind it. It was a reach over the channel to Primbee.
