This was recorded by Faroese national television on 26. nov. 2013.
The whale died from natural causes, as it entered too shallow waters and was not able to escape. It was left for two days in the water, so the intestines had started to ferment and rot. This resulted in a pressure buildup, as can be seen in this video.. Pretty tough skin they have to contain all that pressure. On a TV documentary about a whale in (Japan..?) that was being transported through some city streets on a flat-bed, and it did the same thing, (but without the slicing by hand). Made a huge mess, blood, guts and gore everywhere!
