lets just talk about KITEWINGS IN GENERAL.

There is no place for kitewingers to come together on seabreeze and talk and I would like a forum for it.

So whos got one, whos tried it, who likes it and who doesn't?
Are there any like minded people out there who are open minded to new sports?

I surf, skate, kitesurf, windsurf, sup and kitewing and enjoy each as much as the other. I'm not racist by any means and I think we deserve our own place to talk about kitewings.

Maybe if you became a paying sponsor, you could have your own forum to advertise your gear.

There might not be many of us doing it in Australia, there is a huge following overseas and still plenty of us in oz doing it.

I surf, skate, kitesurf, windsurf, sup and kitewing and enjoy each as much as the other. I'm not racist by any means and I think we deserve our own place to talk about kitewings.

Thats why windsurfing was invented. People paddling a board when the wind is blowing look silly.

SUS? Stand up Sailing?

Guys.... give Wingy a fair go!!!! I thought the windsurfing kind was open minded! The wing kite looks interesting, I would give it a go, I remember some thing similar that was sold in small numbers and never took of in the 80's but had a short mast and attached to the board you could do big jumps on flat water but was to expensive to buy.
By the way PR I remember now where I saw your profile before..... was Lavalife!

Thanks Felix thats all I want I know it's hard to accept new things, I sure as heck dont think it's the best thing out there I do love a good boost with a tea bag.
I watched the windsurfing/kitesurfing takeover in the infant days and boy did some of those kitesurfers cop some ship on scarborough beach by those old school hardcore windsurfers lol it caused quite a bit of contempt in the air. If I recall there was an article run in the newspaper talking about threats to possibly ban all kite surfing on scarbs/bryton beaches due to its popularity and risk of accidents with other water users :)
hahahha @ lavalife comment
that thing you speak of was called a wind weapon i think it looks quite interesting and cool might actually work better than a kitewing for fun factor, wish there was some footage of it somewhere :)

Its the Wind Weapon, always looked awkward to sail normally with all the power/draft above your head, but hey if you like to dangle and want a challenge trying to loop it go for it.

I imagine if you were not tethered to your kite wing it would be hazardous, much like a kite if you let it go or it decided to take off down the beach?,

You are so lucky. Everytime you post in seabreeze, all of your fellow kitewingers are also there.

The fact it is only one person shouldn't bother you. It can only get more popular
