Is there anywhere in Australia where this would be legal?

I've been seeing it advertised regularly on TV

If I was to use it and pulled in a baby dugong, I reckon I'd get punched out and fisheries would seize everything I own and lock me up.

I was expecting some sort of clever sonar guidance system that would home in on a shoal of fish when I saw the name 'Fish Seeker'. A more appropriate name might be something like 'Long Cast'.

Why not sell a Bitcoin and buy a drone. Mate does drone fishing; brilliant.

Lol the claim of latest technology is laughable. Unfortunately depending on what state your in this would be classed as a set line or a long line. They're allowed in NZ. Not as effective as they are marketed as. Australia only has a few beaches where this would be effective. The rest would mean you'd loose your craft to shovel nose sharks n rock shelfs.......
