They where in my street last night.Sniffing around my van and my neighbour questioned what they where doing. All hell broke loose. One had a big stick he was waving around.Another had a half a brick in his hand. They where screaming all kinds of obcenitys.
I came out and they moved on down the street and threw the brick through a another guys window.
The police where called twice last night.(Very helpful too. Did laps all night)
Now these guys are known to police. They have done time for burglary and they are violent offenders.Just to make things clear. One was female, one was white and the other was black.
What i want to know is just why the f%$k are these criminals allowed into society???
Now i'm just about to leave for work and i'm wondering if i'm going to come home to a trashed and burgled home.
Bring on mexican style police death squads i say.

Funny this should come up, I live in a smallish town where not much happens but turns out the video store next to my work got robbed at knifepoint yesterday........
I work in a fishing store and although it would be "against company policy", im looking at all the tools available to me for preventing aggravated cash withdrawl[}:)][}:)][}:)]
Im thinking a speargun might be a bit overboard, though it would be funny watching them try to escape with a spear and 200lb trace connected to it.
a gaff has some good reach advantages or maybe i could cool them off with the fire extinguisher .
In all seriousness though, id rather have the threat around my work than my home, so i feel for ya mate.Buy a dog.A big one.[}:)]

There is a bloke who sometimes wanders up my street screaming and yelling. Some bastards burnt my neighbour's car a month ago. Police were helpful but no one saw anything.

What can be done? Nothing much probably. Does it make you yearn for the good old days when police would deal with these sorts of incidents without needing to lay charges and get the courts involved?

Dick Smith do a neat 4 camera video system, it reacts to movement, sees in the dark and records to a large hard drive (included).
Its easy to install and setup.
Wont stop the trash doing what they do but will identify them

The answer is mandatory gun ownership for all people who don't have a criminal record. Having an unlicensed gun gets you 5 yrs inside, not the $200 - $500 fine you get now.

Crime dropped about 90% in a US county that tried it a few years ago. Crooks were not game to grab a handbag off a lady in the street as 20 people would draw on them!!

What an atrocious accent. Its Canada not canadia, and its "aboat" not "aboot", and "thet" is pure Auszealand. Try "thart". It's closer.

we had a caretaker her in Kalgoorlie use one to shoot a kid who was constantly breaking into the complex where he employed. He got 18 months from memory, the kid got nothing and a week later walloped a bloke for his pizza. The kid was treated like a legend with his idiot mates

First time in two years here that i've seen stuff like that.So it's not too bad. They will probably get locked up again soon and all will be quiet again. It's just a shame someone has to get robbed or hurt before this happens.

Try living near The Cottesloe Hotel, every weekend something will happen. Cars scratched, plants ripped out, pissing on car door handles, rolling round objects down the hill, small trees snapped, and all other ways of being useless trash. You can't do anything because it is pretty obvious where you live.

Every now and then the cops lie in wait behind a wall and catch someone being a total knobhead. They (cops) only do it when it is closing time and there are a lot of rowdy people heading for the train

A few answers there, change closing time. Residents get together with the police and the pub owners and try to sort the problem out, have increased security during those times at the pub's expense. Make the pub to enforce the rule not to serve alcohol to someone who is drunk. Round up the offenders and send them to Afghanistan and issue them with orange overalls with an American flag on the back, though an Aussie flag will do too

I heard a news story the other day that liquor licensing was considering reducing by half the number of people allowed at the Cott and the OB?
