Hey lads, can I swap a 2.8L - 1990 Hilux transmission into a 1995 Hilux lno6?

I can't find info anywhere!

Hey there troll. There is a bloke John at Scarborough Toyota servicing he is a gun on all things landcruiser and hilux. Ive lost his card and cant remember his last name bit of an old bloke bald head if that helps.

I just asked the boys next door to me in Joondalup. They do everything and the owner is toyota trained and the short answer is if they are both Diesel than yes.

Cheers all. I picked up a good gearbox for 400. My one was on the way out. I spent a good few hours trying to find the answer out myself- no such luck.

I did find a bloke on eBay who was selling a gearbox for a 1989 to 1995 hilux, so I figured it may be ok.

on the subject of hiluxes, when yoyu change out the timing belt, how do you switch the little warning light off afterwards
