The main reason for desexing male bullies and staffies is not to control birth rates, (it does help though)
but rather due to the high percentages for prostate cancer in the future if you don't !
( these breeds are high risk for this problem) and hip displacement
My last dog "GROMMET" wasn't done, and I had to put him down early due to cancer.

Yes it's hard to find a good vet, there's one in Canberra, got two pups 6 yrs ago. Bring 'em back in 8 weeks, I'll desex her, don't worry about him he won't have pups.
And he was right Clydie hasn't had pups, never met an undesexed female either. Does desexing male dogs do anything for the unwanted dog problem? I don't think so.
