TV adverts are the televisual equivalent of the endless political propaganda I get in my postbox every bloody day at the moment

I always liked the ABC and SBS for the non adds.Now i'm stuck with ABC.

TV ads are basically noise pollution/spam. Not unlike the majority of programmes being broadcast on commercial TV really! Endless 'reality' shows (which couldn't be further removed from reality if they tried), soapies, yank talk-back shows etc etc. Nothing more than chewing gum for the mind

Without a doubt the only advertisement worth a mention is that famous one for Honda Accord. If I remember correctly, it took them 606 takes to get it perfect and every thing you see in the ad apart from the walls, floor and ramps are pieces from the car.

God election advertising is CRAP - just a bunch of fast talking bores putting ***t on each other. No wonder we have compulsory voting.

There's been tons of adds that I've liked however, no matter how good, they quickly become irritating unless the've got a real good song.

Victoria Bitter - Hate the beer, love the ads.
Remember them, You can get it milking a cow, matter of fact I got it now!

Their newest advertisement has members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra playing the famous VB tune using nothing but VB bottles.
First class advertising.



Makes me think that most beer ads are great, love the XXXX ones too

I think it is a milk ad, where a husband a wife are having breakfast and the husband gets a milk moustache and says to his wife, "who am I? You're Dad" then he dips his chin in his milk and says, "now who am I? You're Mum"

And the RACQ ad where the guy is talking about his boat insurance because he hit a Charter Boat and his wife is walking around in the background with a towel over her head saying. "Charter Boat? What Charter Boat? How could you not see a Charter Boat?"

sorry for the people that don't live in South Australia you probly wouldn't know what it is and how good it is compared to the other C*@p you guys get oh well as they say on the ads "It's a Farmers Union Ice Coffee or it's nothing!"

Hate adds BUT you have to give credit where credit where credit is due and the quality of some adds is far better than most of the c#*p masqerading as entertainment on TV.
