The standard school crafted stuff. Two kids in school now so double the paper ties and macaroni necklaces.
I did get a weber Q. Was looking forward to cooking a roast in it. Completely destroyed the poor piggy

Given all the cool craft stuff also (which is awesome!) Given day pass by wife to go to mate's house (with kids in tow) to brew 2 batches of home-brew with a couple of mates...needless to say, probably drank more than we brewed. Kids and dad taxi'd home by said wife/mum later in arvo - bbq dinner, a couple more beers, then put kids to bed - and I'm sure you can guess the rest.

Yep - fell asleep (passed-out) on couch.

They are adults. They don't live in the same town as me anymore, let alone the same house.

They don't have children yet so I am happy they thought of me and acted.

Yep! Until you've got kids of your own you don't comprehend parenting!

Thanks Rails. I take it you mean foil over the grill and not wrap the roast in foil??

I completely forgot to ring/text my old man. But I did yarn with him on the Saturday. I forget his 60th birthday this year. That made me feel like crap

^^^ yup, put the foil on the grill plate, but don't completely cover it. You also need holes for the hot air to circulate and the juices to drain away. weber do a disposable foil convection tray, about $12 for a pack of ten, they're a lot easier that foil, which reminds me I need to go buy some more. Also consider buying a roasting trivet. I cooked a pork roast a couple of weeks ago when my parents were up, afterwards dad was ballsy enough to tell mum my pork crackle was better than hers
