Laurie,

In the photos section instead of thumbnails for the most recent 5 or 6 photos I get

"New Image! Preview Coming... Click to view!". If I click on the pageholder I do get the image (and a mighty fine image it happened to be - "Driving Test Question" in Other).

Dont know if this is a "feature" or not.

Otherwise it looks great (cannot see that it is any shinier though). You are to be congratulated for the smoothness of the upgrade. If only every upgrade here at work were as smooth,

Didn't realise the old server was slow, but this new one leaves it for dead. Nice work Laurie

@JayBee .. all fixed.

Thanks boys; moving servers is one of lifes more stressful events!

This new server really cranks, more CPU's than you can point a stick at.

Plenty of grunt for lots of new goodness coming your way...

Excellent work Lozza,

Moving servers is one of the hardest things in the web game to do well, looks like you nailed it!

Well done

It's the latest 33Mhz 386 with the latest mini 5.25" 20 Megabyte harddrive! We've upgraded the 3 all modems to 9600 bps.

Great Job Laurie The only thing that made me release it was changing was when it was offline for a while at school to day. I like that the drop down menus have stayed as at school that is the only way i can get to a forum as they have blocked the forum list page.

Great Job once a again and I can't wait to see more stuff get added on to the site

Cheers Pittsy

I play an online game and I hear they inherited your old server, AMD DX2-75 powa!

Seriously, what happens with the old server, does your boat need a new anchor?

Edit:

Great to see the new setup has a steering wheel. More computers need steering wheels. Good to see you have a TV to watch too.

That should fix the bad site speed rank on Alexa! (as Seabreeze gets busier)

I've never noticed much slow loading, but I guess overseas gets pretty bad lag as your server is in Perth hey

Good work Laurie, all seems to be working so far!

It's your version of Firefox .. 2.? I'm thinking it's because there is a massive ebay url in the post, the text has no gaps to wrap the text onto the next line, so it displays at as super wide. Latest Firefox (3.0), IE & others wrap it, so you don't get that effect....

Upgrade here:

The Niel; Pryde add that scrolls across the top, comes up with a large rectangular blank box with a small square box in the top left corner with a red X inside.

Aye, it is v2 that I have. They must have just changed it, I only installed it a month or two ago.

Hey Mr Seabreeze
ok I emailed you..and now have posted this in here

Hi Laurie,

I know you are doing things to the site..and this might be the way you want it..
But if you don't I shall tell you about what I can't do now!

Ok

1. If I click photo
2. upload a photo
3. click on the same photo
4. and then go to
Click here to edit your comments
and then you can use the smileys

Well you can't do that anymore. the Click here to edit your comments page goes to the photos page

I hope you understand what I have just said

And just a request..I would sometimes like to delete a photo especially if it is the wrong one uploaded and I can't do that
Is there a way to delete photo's?

Cheers Cindy (Always a great site by the way)

Hey Cindy .. totally understand what you're saying and it'll be fixed. The "Delete Photo" option is well overdue & is coming in the next upgrade as well.

Thanks!

Sometimes I get an error: "something something has performed an illegal operation.. something" Are you using illegal software Laurie? Has it downloaded a virus to my modem?

...someone asked me that exact question once.

But seriously, I cannot open seabreeze at work, University Qld, since the upgrades. Site not found. Will check again tomorrow (ekka holiday today).

I saw the Seabreeze control centre yesterday, very impressive. That's one zooty 386 you've got there, I liked the 'turbo' switch.
