Although there are many who condemn bull fighting as cruel and barbaric, the way the Spanish regard and treat their bulls is a stark contrast to what has been happening in our live cattle export trade.

^^^ I'm not convinced.

In both scenarios we see animals cruelly slaughtered - how is one any better than the other?

sometimes in life you get the horns.

Maybe they should stun the bulls before a bull fight

Best bull fighting is in Portugal an south of France as they do not kill or harm the bull, they challenge it and then when it run at them they:
1. In Portugal wait for it and try to stop it only with their bodies and hands.
2. In France they run in front of it and attempt to catch the "cocarde" attached between the horns.
That is real courage and skills.
No blood bath and animal cruelty. After a fight the meat is saturated with adrenalin and improper for consumption.

I bet they had to kill the bull and no one honoured it! The stupid matador lost and should have had is balls and hears cut and given to the bull as the tradition want them given to the matador when the bull loses![}:)]
I love Spanish culture, flamenco, dancing horses, food.... but there is no place for tauromachy and Spanish inquisition (luckily terminated few years ago)
