It seems every kid has a black, wide tyred Ebike. They ride with no helmet, over 50km/h, popping monos in front of cars on main roads.
But they have bad sides too... With pack of kids riding them, these kids are endangering their dignity as we all did with Rollerblades back in the day. Except Rollerblades kept us fit.
They're technically banned here, you don't see them in Europe (except pedal assisted bikes). How would they even ban them if they wanted to?
Kids have some dignity. Use your legs.
I complimented a couple of kids at the beach the other day, riding old fashioned manual scooters, so nice to see kids still using their muscles

When I was a kid, the coolest kids were the ones who had minibikes, not the rest of us that were running around on BMX or racing bikes.
Somethings stay the same and that kid who is a lazy sh1t with a wide tyred ebike will still get some respect just for owning it.
Not if it's the clown who raced behind my Ute on the wrong side of the road this afternoon, he was millimeters away from serious injury & would have screwed my afternoon up badly
