Hi all,

Promised wifey a cpl of tix to the Dockers vs Colliwobbles this Friday for mother's day but blew it and they sold out. There goes hubby o' the year nomination.

Anybody not going and need to offload 2 tix?

PS - she is a good wifey cause there is wind predicted for Friday and here I am trying to find a way to impede a session in the mocean!

I've got tickets but I'm going, should be a beauty, top of the ladder clash.
GO FREO!!!!!

I received an email from the club urging members to let the club know if you were not going as they would purchase and on sell you tickets, I think they said any they got would be on sale on Wednesday.
So give the club a ring or log onto ticketmaster at 9am tomorrow.
Does this mean you have finally seen the light and are jumping onboard the Freo bandwagon Funkster!!!

Ta for the tip on tixmaster Tighty.

Ha ha - no head injuries or anything so I am sticking with the (sadly underperforming) Eagles.

Wifey is the Freo fan but I just like a good game of footy and it should be a corker.

Also I don't mind seeing the pies crash n burn - no matter who is playing. Malthouse with a face like a cat's bum is GOLD.

Taking the 13 yo, his brother and 5 of his mates to game for birthday.

He and brother are Maggies supporters, his mates are combination of Freo and Maggies tragics. Will be tears at end of game for someone.

As a loyal budgie supporter, I cannot forgive magpies beating us over here by 1 point the the semi a couple of years ago (yep the tied game) - so it hi ho for me.

But suspect that the travelling pies might do Freo. Be early ..... Friday at subi is hard work

I can feel the hidden shame in the way you write there Rad. No parent should have to endure a magpie fan in the family..

My youngest is a Dockers fan 1st. Eagles 2nd.

Last year (true) out of nowhere he said "I think I want to go for Collingwood daddy." I packed his bags..

Hard to pick but I think Colliwobbles may (just) have the Dockers measure. Still, Colliwobbles may get disorieneted being so unaturally far from Melb and forget how to play. Less than 2 goals in it either way I reckon.

You never know - maybe it will be a draw and all of the squids will be equally unhappy?

Funky

Hope the Collingwood thing was just a wind-up. Grumpy Mick is evil, as well as others at that horrible club.

The Eagles supporter in your house must be going through some difficult developmental stages and growing pains at the moment, but it will soon pass and the lost soul will (should) be a Freo supporter soon.

Go Freo

When times are tough (and they are at the mo) I have the sweet memories - not so past - of 5 GF appearances and 3 flags to fall back on.

Silverware is where it's at. Melamine just doesn't cut it.

Hope the dockers win but am still teatering in my tips.

Hope that you get a ticket funky.

This game looks like setting the tone for the season for both teams - more to loose for Dockers.

Reckon that the Magies will come out hard to clean up a few players, like they did against Saints.

Hope that backfires, after the off the ball they did on McGinnity last year; and they cop the damage. Reckon that it will be on before the bounce.

My boys tell me that a bit of love was given to Mick's Team while they were running alongside the river yesterday .... would not happen in Melbourne

Make sure that you are there early, will be hard work at the dog of an oval Subi this arvo. And it is so cold out there this arvo - will be bitter at that dog of an oval Subi.

Off to watch a pre-footy footy game this arvo - the first of 4 this weekend. Ah winter ....

Nah.. no tix. Oh well nice Thai take away and a glass of vino ahilst watching live TV is not too bad. May have to sling wifey a complimentary foot massage for stuffing up the tix tho.

Haha - wish I could have seen the display of affection for Colliwobbles riverside. They are definately not used to being the away team. No chance they will ever clock up meaningful frequent flyer points but they are a professional unit so will be ready to play.

Was low of Nick Maximiumknob to clean up McGinity with a broken jaw (if I'm not mistaken in his 1st game) basically off the ball. But then that's the pies really. I rekn you are right - Dockers have more to lose - so hoping they don't get sucked into that sort of game. Unless they give Maxwell a nice tickle of course.

I used to work at Subi for more than a few seasons and it gets bloody brass monkey there for sure. He he - the loungeroom is looking more inviting by the minute.

Hope ya have a good one fellas.

With the sell out crowd being made up of some of the more feral supporters in the comp., the atmosphere will be great.

Foot massages ey Funky? Are the kids being sent to the Grandparents for the night?

Here's a photo of Funky last time his feet got massaged

Your not wrong about c c c c c cold.
I was rostered to work from 7am-7pm and the game starts at 6.40 (my relief is hopefully going to come in early though), so I rode my motorbike into work this morning so that I could get to the game quicker (I can park right at the gate).

I usually only ride it into work when it is warm and so haven't ridden for a couple of months now (I know HTFU), by the time I was halfway in this morning I was frozen.
I'm not looking forward to riding home after the game but I have followed Freo from the start so if we can manage a when we win and are on the top of the ladder for the first time in our history I don't think I will notice it.

I might have to have a couple of shots off the top shelf to warm me up when I get home though

Ba ha ha - nah - wish it was a 'grandparent's night'!! I owe it to wifey for stuffing up with the tix.

Still, if they beat the pies and end up on top - I might too!!

Hey Tighty - being from Qld, you just gotta realise you can't wear boardies on the bike all year round. Brrr.. chilly on the pushy this morning. Yep, we both need a dose of cement in the cocoa.

Ball was within 5 metres and up for dispute so hardly "off the ball". He was actually shepherding for the young fella them run on with it...

But I do admit under the new rules that were brought in that year it was an illegal bump...Maxwell was just unlucky to be the first to test the new ruling...

Correction, ball was basically over the line and out of bounds - McGinity's eyes were following the ball BAM!! through comes tuff guy Nick Maximimumknob cleaning up a unprotected young bloke in his first game. What a hero.

Shepard my freckle, Maxwell blocked his own team mate and had no inention other than shirtfronting the young bloke. Was barely legal last year (thought he was 'Eddy and co.' lucky to get off at the time) and is cirtainly illegal this year.

Mcginity's jaw was broken by high contact - so should have been 2-3 week suspension.

Myehh.. whatayagonnado? Collingwood have their own rule book for travelling, away jumper (not that they ever play away ) and trial by media assistance of channel 9. Let's just see if they can win outside Melb?

Ahem.. go dockers.

The video shows the ball rolls on in bounds....but anyway...

so you're basically saying that rookies are sooo precious they shouldn't get hurt...?

I don't think it takes much courage for an experienced player to wipe out a young bloke who doesn't see it coming - cause he is actually chasing the footy.

Oh well the Freo/Pies game was an anti-climax but no shame really Coliwobbles are in red-hot form.

Good thing at least one of the WA teams had a (rare this season) win on the weekend.

If you're playing AFL you're playing with the big boys there is no place for being precious...

So you don't think John Worsfold had any courage?

I make note of the his hit on Wright of Collingwood...he also didn't see it coming...

I fail to see your point Mr poo? These days Woosha would be reported and deserve to lose game time for most of those. Nick Maximumknob got nuttin.

Why not post some of Lethal's hits from the 70s/80s - bout as relevant.

Look I am not losing sleep about the McGinity incident but I still think Maximumknob has proved many times he does not lack courage, but the unexpected (and that is the diff) head high contact on McGinity is nuttin to hang a medal off.
