Sailing slowly today at Broadwater GC I had nothing better to do then counting crab pots at this world famous windsurfing and kite surfing spot.
Couldn't finish my counting as I did run out of my fingers at hands and feet.
Shortest already run in the world and blocked completely by strategically placed buoys with long lines.
Access to middle sand bar denied totally and main run reminds Afghanistan mine fields .
I wonder If we could write a complain to our city council ?
Nuisance created by few people negatively effect our whole water sport community.
Are there any rules how many crab pots they could put into our communal waters and where exactly ?
I thought crabbing was done in shallow water (so the float is not far away from the net unlike craypots with heaps of rope on the top) and nets pulled every half hour or so... or do you 'tothersiders do it differently
Anyway.... weed fin Macro.

Yep, weed fin
If they've been stupid enough to use a clear cordial bottle for a float (which is barely visible), reel it in, chuck it on the front of your board and put it onshore somewhere, its a hazard to navigation.
you ran out of fingers on your feet![]()
we need pics of your feet![]()

I can see that your capacity stephen to understand presented above problem is limited to doubts about counting fingers.![]()
Shouldn't you also ask what is the color of the crab pot line ?
It will be equally useful in this subject.![]()

We don't even bother trying to count them in Mandurakastan, to busy dodging them, gets really interesting when they use clear coke bottles for floats

They've been pretty bad on the river the past few years. I can't even begin to imagine the horrors of dodging them in the estuary.![]()
you could always drag them over so they are all together in a big clump>>>
what crabs are they??? we dont have those things here in Vic thanks god!
On Perth water the crabbers use really long lines so that the position of the float does not give any idea where the rope might be. Using a boat with shafts means constant vigilance... I have had a pot foul onto my prop one evening when I couldn't see the float.....

Pubic
Creams and lotions aren't any good you have to set traps for them
Not sure about crab nets but cray pots lines are excellent to give the keel and rudder a fast clean when sailing! ![]()

I've always found that a few strategically placed rocks in the bath lure the little blighters away. They love hiding under rocks.

Seem to catch 1 or 3 lines sailing to Peel, mostly around coochie. Put your pots in anything above a meter and the boomerang will collect them for you ![]()

Forget about all that. Just steal them.
