Lived and worked there years ago , the only wind fun to be had , was the day after a night at Tracks tavern or the Golden Bosun ,[}:)]
fantastic diving , lots of bugs and painted crays, few big lurkers , but plenty of food for them.
filling up at the servo one day I watched someone pull in a mack that went beyond 40 kg's!!!in a 12 ft tinnie

Get a few small waves in Flying Fish Cove on the right swell , but not really worth the effort. 50 mtrs ofshore around most of the island the reef drops from 10 -20mtrs to in some places to beyond 500 mtrs.
not unusual to see supply ships doing circles way out to sea, cause it's to rough to put in to port , and too deep to anchor.
