well it was to be expected, that's why we filled ours out 3 days ago.
Sites often crash when every body in the country is trying to use them at the same time!

So your telling me that overseas 'Hackers' came up with millions of 12 digit numbers that matched the log in code 'EXACTLY'...... I call BS

Bet you we won't have an OnLine election soon.

This should be a wake up call for all those politicians who want to put bushfire warnings and information online. At least that's what they were all saying after the Victorian fires a couple of years ago.
If the ABS couldn't set up a system to handle the load that they expected, about 3M per hour, how do they think they are going to handle the traffic that would come with a big bushfire hitting international media with all the bored people overseas deciding that they want to have a gawk at what is happening?

Filled mine in a day before. Why not?

Why did (nearly) EVERYONE think they had to actually fill it in on the night the snapshot was being taken? I'm genuinely bemused.

Was it myth spread by FaceBook? Baaa-aaa.

I think it actually says as much on the letter they sent out that it is to be done on the night.

I don't care much and filled it out partially earlier, but never got around to submitting it. It sounds like I wouldn't have been able to anyway.

It's an ill wind that blows no good. It's been great for me, it led to my discovery that you can scroll by stroking the back of the mouse. Was I the only person in Australia who scrolled with up/down arrows?

Anyway I asked that smart member of the family who had correlated this habit with my age how she went with the census?

"Yes I did it, no worries! Well I got to question 3, somehow got a "Thank you for your submission" message and it was gone, lost forever. They know I'm female, that's about it"

If you used a stolen code then the code associated with your address wouldn't register as completed. What were you trying to achieve?

I was trying to achieve anonymity.
Just found the letter in the bin at work. I didnt think they were linking the code to an address. Or were they!!!!!!

How could it be linked to an address?????? It is addressed to the home owner. No delivery note on the envelope. Did not see the posties taking note of the code and matching to the delivery add.
