Or people who have hand eye coordination... you see they have brakes and a hand throttle... twist and they accelerate > release and they slow... simple hey?

The biggest danger are those <tards driving trucks to drop kids off at school and then playing with the radio, satnav, makeup, etc...

I can understand why. I had one just like this in 1974.

There is nothing quite like a 650 vertical twin Cafe Racer or Bobber.

And this is what they should sound like.

If you are lucky, parted company (happily) with my last bike, 1100 Suz around 82/83. Had a number of close calls. I'd say there's a fine line between that brace and a wooden suit. J

Yep. Parted with mine in..umm.. well it was a while ago '76, similar reasons & looked at the % thing.
Still love to get out for a blaaaaaaat now & then.

Little Jon - love that Deus Ex Machine shop & cafe at Camperdown.
Wifey knows if she wants to get me to look at renovation stuff (again! ) she says "Lets go to that bike cafe"

Cisco - had a ex-cop Triumph 650 briefly. Classic

Might as well stop going to the pub - Could get king hit by a random and end up in a coma, a vegetable or dead.
Might as well sell your car and catch public transport - Could get cleaned up by someone not paying attention or a drunk driver.
Might as well stop going in the ocean - Sharks out there not to mention plenty of other little nasties that could kill you.

The list goes on.
Hey I'm well aware your chances of injury or worse are increased by riding a bike but there is risk involved in EVERYTHING that we do.
Lifes for living. Enjoy!

To sell a new car in Australia it needs to meet certain level of crash protection..

Imagine if you went to the authorities with your new invention, a 'motorbike' (pretend they haven't been invented yet)

You- Hi, I'd like to sell my new transportation device in Australia.

ANCAP - OK, what is it?

You- It's a motor, with a seat and two wheels.

ANCAP- Eeeerrr, OK, has it got anything else, safety wise?

You- No.

ANCAP- And how fast will it go?

You- Very.

ANCAP- And there is no safety protection?

You- No, it's a motor with two wheels, but I guess you could jump off at any sign of danger..

ANCAP- Sorry Sir, this device is not fit for Australian Roads..

You- RABble rabble rabble nanny state rabble rabble Bee stings rabble

But they are nice to look at,

Crazy is riding a push bike on the road.
Motorcycles are the prevalent form of transport in the world... it's those damn cagers who think they're indestructible that need better education.

So Little Jon, when you getting it?
If you like old school this might interest you... cheap and easy to service.

Yeah!! Late 60s early 70s NSW cops rode black Thunderbirds if memory serves. Guys were buying them at gubmnt auctions for $300 - $400.

They came with the vertical rubber edged screens (first thing to come off) and beautiful black fibreglass pannier boxes as well as front crash bars.

If you were lucky enough to get one at auction, you could always make a couple of hundred on it.

I bought a '67 Tiger 100 (ex cop 500cc trainer, leather panniers) for $475 from a guy who bought it at auction after he had owned and ridden it for 3 years. Magic bike!!

Biggest disappointment ever was seeing an original '69 Bonneville for sale at $275 in the Courier Mail one Saturday afternoon in 1971.

If I had read the paper in the morning, I would have owned it.
