I see anti-vax loons all over social media are getting wound up about Bird Flu. I think the appended is a good summary that shows why it is important to take action before things get out of hand.

All that 'wisdom' and the only thing he'll be remembered for is being a mouth piece for woke radio

I actually really like dr karl and have quite a few of his books.

His podcasts arent too bad either. A scientist that has a hoodie on his labcoat and the silly shirts his missoe makes him is right up my alley

I dont own a woke radio

I remember listening to Not A Dr. Karl answer a triple J question on why don't race tyres need tread if car tyres do. Oh **** did he waffle on with some bull****. That was when I realised he makes it all up on the spot with some random facts thrown in that don't necessarily affect the outcome.

Do people just trawl through Reddit and twixter looking for stuff like that, just so they can make fun of people for the weirdest reasons?

Who thinks they're being particularly clever making fun of a 76 year old getting vaccinated against a respiratory virus?

Can still pick up a dozen eggs for under $8, haven't seen the catastrophe Snoidberf and PC have predicted.

Had a omelette this morning rather than my mandated cricket based egg replacement product

It's raw milk you should be worried about.

Well if your in the USA, and then you probably have plenty of other things to worry about.

While I'll admit that raw food can be safe to consume.
The narrow window in which it is safe does not line up well with mass production, wholesale and our transport system.

In many cases, the risks just do not warrant the meagre benefits over a similar but safer product.

Milk? Yeah, I'll have mine pasteurised thanks.

You know what, I'll give that one a pass.

Risk vs benefit? Pretty low.

As I mentioned, logistics and wholesale practices that would bring it to the shelves of my local "health food store" could increase the risks (if I lived outside of Australia).

Sourcing it locally in Australia? I'd much prefer the steak, roasts, sausages, offal etc that would come from the same cow. Maybe black sausage?
