GoPro and RedBull have a lot to answer for.

That might have just cost me a trip to Revelstoke in April. Damnit!

that is only matter of terminal velocity
if cat could land on something that could absorb the impact should be absolutely fine
such as small lake or pond

Go to YouTube to find the truth.

There is only the Russian guy that tandem dived with his cat.

Dogs have done it though and been into space too.

So which are better/smarter/more adventurous/more loyal/more loveable, dogs or cats??

Or if you are a person, with the help of a wing suit, 18,600 cardboard boxes and a serious set of brass balls...

That is cool idea and I think one day there will be able to design fly suit to allow
un assisted landing too...
just a matter of calculations....required air breaking are in perpendicular angle of attack almost... canvas streached on ultra strong carbon fiber stick... in fact we will bakc to almost umbella design

that will be really interesting for Mythbastards to check what size umbrella will do the job of saving the life of people jumping from highs ( assuming that structure is reinforced to withstand forces)

-Standart man umbrella
vs
-beach umbrella ?
- patio umbrella ?

What I would do - some holes to release the air pocket, maybe flip umbrella too, maybe slow rotation may help
then for landing change position - head first is not the best

I will not be test pilot for sure... i hate hights ....
