We're holding a regatta in September 2014 and attempting a world record for the highest altitude regatta in the world. To increase our chances, we're also attempting to do it on what will hopefully become the highest commercially navigable lake in the world. So, I guess you are now asking where...
...we'll be at Lake Karakul, Tajikistan at an altitude of 3960m. The location of the 'Roof of the World' Regatta is one of the most landlocked in the world and it's very remote, with the only access via the Pamir Highway - the second highest international route in the world.
So, we are looking for Australian Kite and Wind surfers (and small dinghy sailors) who are up for an extreme adventure and some awesome sailing with 7000m peaks in view on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Check us out for more detail at www.facebook.com/roofoftheworldregatta
