Prety sure you would find they have a nest in the tree,and they take of the outer bark layer because the hard trunk underneath is mouch harder and slipprier for preddators to climb and threaten there young .

Must be a conspiracy. There are two massive black cokatoos in a tree outside systematically pruning quite impressive branches.
They have yellow cheeks anyone?

Got to the bottom of my story
The bloke next door had to put up a scaffold to remove the debris from his roof. It is double story and a very big tree.
The bastards are after grubs. Every branch that has been broken through has a grub burrow in it where it has been chewed through.
They are yellow tailed cokatoos without very much yellow. Got leached out by chemtrails
