Is it just luck ?

I thought it was astute financial acumen and superior intelligence based analysis.

Not simply luck and speculation.

Is there something wrong with seabreeze? There is a comment, but I can't see it.

Gee thanks! Your comment made me go open the thread in incognito mode to see if there was one.. and there is.

Nothing interesting though, so you should be okay. It was something about something, blah blah.

Ok, so incognito mode you reckon?

I've been waiting for old mate PC Defender to weigh in on the unlucky thread... Has he been cancelled?

Maybe we've just been lucky, not to hear his pearls of wisdom.

You are right. I wonder what he has said that caused outrage, or has he started to leak the truth about you-know-what and they are censoring him?

Surely they can't suspend us for being boring as I am still here.

That's so unlucky for him, but lucky for us.

Luck is a strang thing! When you hear news reports of people being involved in accidents and they get really farked up, 9 times out of 10 they say they are lucky, because it could have been far worse.

Maybe PC Defender was lucky to be cancelled.

HA good for you myscreenname, you have stood by your decision the whole time. I was very sceptical and still consider such purchases to be gamble.

But you've come out in front, at this point at least... Now for the hard part, at what point do you intend to sell?

It won't be before June 14 so I can take advantage of the 50% CGT rule. Ideally I'd like to hang on to it all until it gets to $100k, but realistically I'll do what I did last time and sell in increments as the price rises to the end of the year.

Bitcoin will dump hard again and I'd probably reinvest at that point. My hunch is that will be sometime after the next halving in May 2024.

Myscreenname, you've done well, good on you for hanging in there as it really could have gone either way. No chance I would ever invest in Bitcoin, I'm more of a shares/infrastructure investor, retired and living on the returns so greater stability is important.

I agree that there will be another dump, what causes it who knows, but it will bring in more regulation which is probably a good thing in the long term and may stabilise the huge swings currently being experienced. Where Bitcoin goes from here, bugger if I or anyone knows, flip a coin then hang on for the ride as you did.
