There's one that's been wandering my street for the last couple of weeks.

Because all my neighbours know I have chooks, everyone is assuming it's mine and bringing it "back" to me.

But's it not mine - and my girls won't have a bar of her joining them (apparently it's not just cocks that love a fight - the girls are amazingly bitchy and aggressive too as it turns out).

So it's been free-ranging in the front yard for the last week or so. But the missus wants it gone - apparently it's wrecking the garden. And as much as I'm enjoying watching people stare confusedly at our front yard and coming in to try (always unsuccessfully) to catch it, I'm getting a bit sick of people knocking on the front door to tell me my chook has escaped.

We've door knocked and nobody wants it. So, does anyone want a chook? Perth western suburbs pickup (I'll even help you catch it).

I thought someone mentioned on here earlier about introducing new chickens to establish flocks. Maybe not?

Anyway, google it. There are suggestions of having them separated but within site of each other until they get used to things.

Apparently they have a 'pecking order'... yeah I know, its obvious when you think about it

You could ask Dezman.
He put up a post recently about anti-fowling so he must know all about it.
It could even be one that Dezman scraped off his boat, although I think he was on the other side of australia.
