Wasted fifteen years of my life, popping one Zyrtec a day, for nine months a year, starting every September.
Without the pill, I was stuffed with cold like symptoms, itchy eyes and sneazing.
Tried everything GPA mentioned, for no real effect. Zyrtecs worked for me.
Spring 2012, after having my first three Zyrtecs, I discovered my MIRACLE HAY FEVER CURE.
Stopped eating four Wheatbix for breakfast every morning. Instant result, no more Zyrtecs.
Have since eliminated bread from my diet, having noticed it brought on symptoms.
Raging easterly winds at night this week had next to no effect on me the next day. Previously, they would have crippled me.
Have concluded I am Gluten intolerant, even though I never suffered anything resembling irritable bowell syndrome.
Five years back, was tested for allergins and proven to be allergic to pollen, rye grass, dust mites, Collingwood FC and furry animals. No one picked up on the diet / gluten angle.
Good luck with managing your hay fever. I know the impact on your quality of life and it can be career limiting.
Life is good, now.
Actually, I have also reduced my bread intake - mainly to drop carb intake and try and reduce some weight, and this year I am not suffering HF as much as previous years - so there may be something to this...
