Had to purchase a couple of items needed for some work next week, today looked on the net and found the best price was in fact from a local photographic company in Adelaide in their online catalogue. I rang them and yes they had the items in stock, I asked if they were the same as the Internet price... they said 'yes'... so put them away for me and I will pick them up later this arvo. Had to go a bit out of my way, pay for parking etc went in and got the bits one item was $5 more and the other $6 above the web price when I asked why and would they honour the web price of their own store, they said NO due the shop costings were different from the warehouse costings and a different franchisee. (and wouldn't budge on price) Needed the bits so paid the price but I'm not going back again despite needing to purchase a couple of more costly items before the end of financial year.... sorry the web wins, and they wonder why the local guys down the tube.
I can understand the extra cost of an in-store sale. But if they told me on the phone that it would be the same as the web price, then tried to charge me more after I drove down there (albeit $11) I'd have told them to jam it.
just show these owners have no common sense at all - walk into my shop with cash and its actually less than what i advertise... like durrr these guys above you mention won't be around in a couple of years - 2013 will be my 30th year.

Bloody mission, there are two others in the dam swimming around with hooks in their guts that I feel quite bad about. I had to buy some 50 kilo nylon and the traces because the farkers get inextricably knotted up in the water lilies and you cannot get them out on ordinary line.
