I'm looking at the current Australian Sailing Team standings and I see:

Men's Laser 1st
Men's 49er 1st
Women's Elliott 6m 1st
Men's 470 2nd
Women's RS:X 11th
Women's 470 11th
Women's Laser Radial 12th
Men's Finn 13th

So we could get 3 Gold and 1 Silver from 10 events. What an amazing effort!!

On Channel 9 I've seen one 30 second cross to a journalist to give an update. Once. Did not include any footage of the sailing.

The sailors could end up kicking the asses of the swimming and athletics teams and we see sod all.

One of the Olympics values is equality. Shame it doesn't filter through to TV coverage.

No I don't have Foxtel

I could watch the sailing all day, but for the lay man, I can understand that it doesn't make great TV. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

We'll see some coverage when they move all the events to the swimming pool. All I've seen is swimming, swimming, swimming.

I guess it would be hard to show it all on one channel, especially with the time difference. But i have Fox and have watched sh-t loads of sailing But with 8 channels Fox have not done any better. Last night there were two channels doing the same talk back interviews (at same time) and then later two channels both doing boxing, at the same time[}:)]
