You know the deal, if you like the movie GREEN thumb, if you thought it sucked RED thumb.

My favourite of the year is:

And co-staring a homey... from Blacktown NSW.

Red Dog..... you couldn't be serious. I wanted to punch my TV after sitting through that rubbish.

Senna was up there for me this year, and I don't even like car racing let alone formula one.

Red Dog and Troll Hunter are my Mrs equal favourite movies of the year, so green thumbs from her.
I watched Cedar Rapids last night... Too much like those other Hangover type conference gone bad movies.

Drive was awesome. It was the schlockiest b-grade script yo've seen a million times from the 80's and 90's with the most stylised gloss put over it i've ever seen. It made me think "what is a movie?". No really, I give it 4 stars, and the Director deserves all his awards.

...was I watching it right?

edit: It was like a modern western where the character has no name and no history and we know the other characters better than the main character, and each shot was painstakingly done, ie the opposite of Transformers with 10,000,000 cuts.

Also teh Jacket.

Senna was just awesome. Best doco I've seen in that it was really a heart-tugging, dramatic doco, not the usual educational ones. The last scene where you know he's going to die, and what's going through his head all weekend... man. Someone was chopping onions in the next room i swear.

True story: I missed a flight last night (by 2 minutes) because I had to watch it until the end.

Submarine: so glad I'm not the only person to have seen this. My favourite movie of the year . I liked how he was far from a hero, him and his dad both kinda pathetic, real people. Very, VERY funny too.

Greatest Movie ever made. Better than "The Attack Of the Killer Tomatoes".

Mothra. Watch it here along with some great Charlie Bronson movies with his total spunk wife Jill Ireland.

Drive: Yes it was a stylised B Grade script, but that's what made it cool and the 80's type pop.

Inbetweener: Watched it last night... kind of like www.imdb.com/title/tt0205177/

Senna: Was mostly in Portuguese for me ;)

It looks like the Seabreeze's 2011 winner is, The Lincoln Lawyer.

And my most eagerly anticipated movie for 2012:

I just watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Defiantly the best planet of the Apes movies I've seen.

I'm a little biased though, as I've always enjoyed seeing animals taking revenge on humans for their mistreatment.

the hobbit is a great book, it sucked me in.... then the lord of the rings was a struggle.
