Arr those were the days when men were men..and wore suits and their Sunday best.
Men dressed to impress you, had a smart car (even if it was old) and would never be late to pick you up.
They would bring flowers or chocolates sometimes. At some point in your relationship they would ask to marry you and would NEVER consider to live in sin.
They never wore track suits or burped or farted in the company of women.
They insisted on paying for a lovely night out..pulled out the chair and opened the doors for you. Their time was filled of thoughts of you their cars and friends..not like now were its their car their friends and computer games. opps and beer and the water! Oh and then you!
When it was, "don't lift that hunny' and they would lift the heavy things for you.
They would buy you something sparkly for a birthday instead of nowadays something practical. Then we would make a salad and they would cook the BBQ. Then they were the bread winner as there was NO way my wife was working and looking after the kids. When the pub the Tv or the computer were not the things that you wanted to do after a working day and you would both stroll of and go early to bed

Oh I could go on...lol

they....the lady's were a tad more advanced than that in Australia in the 60's

That is actually how I was treated...In my early years and then the 80's happened and track suits were invented

I did. Terrible time. Horrible music. After all the fantastic music through the 50s, 60s, 70s we got to the 80s and it was like being in a train wreck.

To me the 80's was a time of trying to fit in...(god that did not work lol)
It was a time of bighair god awful shoulder pads and guys in loud shirts, makeup, long hair or full of hair spray and HIGH wasted pants (nothing sexy or masculine about that) and guys thinking a kiss or even a smile was 1st base and then it was just straight into it mind you guys and girls were just doing 1 night stands over and over and ok well you get my drift.

This pretty well explains the 80's What the hell were we thinking? (not much)
Mind you some of the Heavy Rock that came from that decade was DAM good.
