Just had to tell someone….

Paddling back from Maroubra this morning. Passing South Coogee headland, near Wedding Cake Island, two huge fins catch my attention. Thinking oh crap, oh crap, oh crap, they turned out to be 2 Humpback Whales.

Such amazing creatures and an experience.

They ended up being only about 10 metres away and both were slapping their pectoral fins…..kind of like waving to me….or telling me to p1ss off.

I slowed and watched, held my original line so not to disturb these awesome creatures and then let them continue on their merry way….simply amazing.

Bugger….I’d thought about taking the GoPro this morning but hadn’t recharged batteries, FCS attachment not on…..blah blah…..bugger!!!

Anyway….had to tell someone….(the missus is away and the mates are at work).
