New Tropical Island Kiteboarding Location

Hello, we have a boutique resort capable of taking groups of 10-12 kiteboarders located on an entire private atoll of 22 islands, larger than Cocos Keeling islands. See www.conflictislands.com

The Conflict Islands has an 18 Sq.km lagoon filled with areas ideal for kiteboarding, and many other places such as Deboyne Lagoon are within easy reach by boat. We have consistent trade winds from May-October, of 25-30 knots. So during this period of the year kiteboarding conditions are ideal at the Conflict Islands. Some of the best kitesurfing is when there are strong winds over low islands and coral cays with smooth water on the lee side of the cay. For 9 months of the year (during the south easterlies) this is our typical weather pattern.

It is becoming well known that the best wind in Australia outside the summer seabreeze season is the trade wind belt along the north Queensland coast, and through to the South-East are of PNG. We see a big market for kiters from the southern states that are starved for wind from April to September, who have an issue finding blue water locations they can visit.

Here is an introductory video for the resort

Interested parties can contact Matt Alford, our island manager who can coordinate a package price for groups of 8-10 kiteboarders to visit the islands.

We are trying to put an introductory expedition together out to the islands shortly, and have a few spaces left for those wanting to be the first to experience virgin kiteboarding territory.
