Just one of those days (aka an expensive surf).
Ok - was a little ordinary this morning, but the wife was at work and the son still asleep so I went to the local beachie to see if I could score a few...
Anywho, the waves were not that big and certainly lacking power, but I still managed to crack the nose/rail on my 3wk old board (late BH take off) must have hit the sand, as no other board involved. Damage was worse than I expected for an epoxy - $55 and a week wait quoted... fine - no problem.
Main pisser was that I did a U-ey at the lights to get to the surf shop and got pinged... $100 and 2 demerits... no chit chat or warning - just out with the pad...
Oh well... what's done is done...
