I recently read an article in the Jan/Feb Smorgasboarder, "The power of one". It was about Geoff McCoy's design ideas, shaping a surfboard in which he calls the "dome" and using a single fin. The idea grabbed me! I like the movement of the boards from his postings on Youtube.

Currently I'm riding a PSH ripper 8'9" using it in the surf. I'm looking for a new board with a more classic ride.

Has anyone used this idea for a SUP? Was it successful? Downside/upsides? Can a SUP in surf handle a single fin?
