WA Surf Graphs and Live Beach Cameras
In short
WA's live swell graphs from the Department of Transport, six Perth beach cameras, and the Seabreeze wind forecast - all on one page, all updating live.
Check before you go, decide in two minutes.
What's on the page
Swell charts for the whole WA coast, live cameras from Geraldton to Mandurah, and a 7-day wind outlook to time your session.
Everything you need to decide whether it's worth the drive to the beach is now in one place on Seabreeze.
The Perth Surf & Beach Cam page brings together live swell graphs straight from the WA Department of Transport's ocean buoy network, six live beach cameras along the metro coast, and Seabreeze's 7-day wind forecast - all on a single clean page.
Live Swell Graphs
The DOT operates an offshore wave buoy network covering the WA coast, and every sensor feeds directly into the charts on this page.
There are eight chart groups in total - a Combined WA overview, then individual charts for West Coast, Rottnest, Cottesloe, Mandurah, Cape Naturalist, South West Coast, and South Coast.
Each location shows both a real-time wave height chart and a separate direction and period chart - the period read is what tells you whether that 1.5m is a long, clean groundswell or short chop.
Hit "Reload page" to refresh everything at once and see if conditions have shifted.
Six Live Beach Cameras
The Beach Cameras tab shows live feeds from Trigg Point, Swanbourne, Fremantle Boat Harbour, Mandurah Ocean Marina, Lancelin, and Geraldton - all from the Department of Transport's coastal camera network.
Big thanks to the DOT for making these feeds available to WA's water users.
Seabreeze has post-processed each camera image to align the horizon - so what you see is a crisp, level shot of the beach that genuinely shows you what the surf looks like right now, and does justice to how good WA's coastline actually is.
Pair It With the Wind Forecast
Once you've seen the swell height and the camera, hit the Perth wind forecast to check when the sea breeze fills in or whether the offshore is going to hold.
On a Perth morning, that's the whole picture: what's in the water, what it looks like, and how long you've got before the wind changes.
